After you activate it then what? I activated it and it is still locked or not working. How do I fix it? What the hell is wrong with you gullible fools. This worked perfectly!!!
Took less than 1 minute. Thank you for this information. Unfortunately this process did NOT work for my document protection issue. This is the second time I have accidently locked a document. Is it possible that you can accidently lock a document using a keyboard short cut. If so, can you tell me what it is? I believe IE9 may be thje culprit here.
In reply to TerFar's post on May 13, I have this same problem too. Whenever someone opens and locks a Word document that I created, and I try to open, I get a response from Word that is it locked by "me".
When a user closes the document, I can change and edit it. The proper response I am looking for is that Word states that the document is locked by "another user" NOT "me".
