Thread starter Trkkr Start date Dec 26, Trkkr New Member. My right-side fog light got busted and I'm looking to replace them with the LED version; I've heard the lens is a bit more robust on them. I've read a few posts regarding swapping out the fog lights but I can't seem to get a clear picture of the direction I should go.
I went with there's as I'm not comfortable doing any custom wiring and they provided an adapter. On a related note, I can confirm that on the Civic Hatch that you can pop the black cover off to replace the horn and it looks like the fog lights as well rather than removing the entire bumper. Additionally, I'm happy with the replacement; I don't need to feel shame when I feel the need to honk at someone. In the few forum posts I've read, people have been suggesting various replacements and I'm looking for some clarification on a few things.
One person linked to the College Hills Honda replacement ones. On their site they have a link to installation instructions. The instructions go through a lot more than just swapping the lights.
Talks about doing wiring and whatnot as well. Going from the halogens to the LEDs, is there any wiring needed or do you just swap out the fog light assemblies? I saw a lot of people suggesting to get the Morimoto XB replacements.

I am not responsible if you mess up along the way. There are 30 pics in all. Registered OG. That looks Tom honda. Cool beans, but had you of had the dealer do it, then the fogs would be covered with teh warranty of the car, but now there's only a 1 year parts warranty on them, but nice job none the less. Nice post dude, very detailed C6H12O6 said:. Sion0x Off to college!!! Thanks, Andy. For some reason, it isn't lighting up If so, how do I replace that, the switch looks "sealed" What's the drilled hole used for? Checked the install instructions and it doesn't say why two holes need to be drilled.
They look great and definitely light up the road more so than without. Thanks OP for the instructions and pictures.. The fogs sit low enough anyway so chances are it won't blind anyone. Honda's instructions are wrong on where to plug in the purple wire.
It goes into the "blue" harness on the very left, not in the middle on my model. In additional no need to remove the bolts on the windshield fluid tank, just reach up behind it to free the 1pin connector.
